New Home Inspections

Clear Choice Home Inspections offers home inspections for new houses. We recommend a home inspection prior to closing.

Just because a house is new does not mean it is "OK". We often find improper electrical circuits, gaps in flashing, siding and roofing that can allow water and insects to enter the home, leaky plumbing in the crawl space, doors that are not insulated properly and that do not fit / latch properly as well as framing problems. You might be very surprised as to what we may find!

Since the house is vacant and does not contain furniture, we inspect each and every electrical recepticle, light switch, door and window - plus we can completely view floors and walls.

We also conduct Pre-Drywall inspections while the house is under construction. Pre-Drywall inspections are completed just prior to the instalation of the dry-wall that covers the wall and ceiling framing. This allows us to fully view plumbing, electrical plus the framing. We can see so much more of the structure and the quality of craftsmanship before the walls are in place.

You will be issued a full report, complete with a list of deficiencies and photos that you can pass along to your builder or Realtor. This process works very well!
